Palliative care and quality of life consultations
-
When your pet is diagnosed with a chronic condition or is starting to show age-related changes, it is time to start monitoring their quality of life. Rover is here to support you and your pet who may be approaching end of life with:
In-home quality of life assessment in a calm, familiar environment.
Individualised palliative care plan focused on your pet’s comfort and dignity.
Practical guidance on pain control, mobility, nutrition, and daily support.
Guidance and support with informed decision-making and planning for end of life care, when the time comes.
-
In-home palliative care or quality of life consultation:
Initial consultation = $190
Follow-up visits = $160
Palliative care patients who have had at least one in-home consultation with our vets will receive 20% off their at home euthanasia.
-
If you are uncertain about the best time to say goodbye, we have created a quality of life assessment tool to help guide your decision making. We recommend filling this out with the people who know your pet best. You can then use the results to support your conversations with family, your pet’s regular vet, or Rover Vets. If you have any additional questions or concerns, one of our vets would be happy to discuss your pet’s individual needs over the phone.
